Lori Elms
Principle Designer
A little about me:
I have always had a passion for interior design. Even when I was playing house as a child, I was already moving furniture around and making things beautiful. After graduating from the University of Alberta with a degree in Human Ecology, specializing in interior design and home textiles, and acquiring some working knowledge of the industry, I founded Lori Elms Design Group in 1988. For more than 30 years I have been providing design solutions to my clients.
I always strive for these design solutions to be innovative and inspiring with a focus on exceptional quality and attention to detail. I take pride in offering service second to none. I have been blessed with so many clients who put their faith in me and trust me to design their homes. My business has grown exponentially by referrals. When clients refer me to their friends or family, not only am I grateful, I consider it the greatest compliment. Being able to be truly creative, play with beautiful things like fabric and art, and work with amazing clients is absolutely a blessing.
My clients can expect the highest level of personalized service, creative design solutions, integrity and experienced guidance through their design projects.

A little about me:
I guess you could say that design runs through my veins. I cannot remember a time in my life when design, fashion, colour…all things beautiful, did not excite me. It became clear to me that being creative and being able to design is what drives me. Knowing that I wanted to pursue a creative career, I studied interior design at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. I joined Lori Elms Design Group in 2008 and have never looked back.
I believe “style” can speak louder than words and I love helping my clients find their style, then translate that style into a look and feel in their home that truly excites them. It is beyond gratifying to see a client’s face when their home or project is completed and every little detail is perfect.
I am a true believer that everyone should love what they do for a living and I am lucky enough to say I absolutely do!
A little more about me…
My passions: Music (especially outdoor concerts), travelling (I always find so much design inspiration when I travel to new places), art and photography.
My favorite city: Chicago, the architecture in Chicago is legendary and inspiring (I could say the same about the food and music)
My favorite band: Mumford and Sons, hands down!
My guilty pleasure: Organization, completing “To Do” lists and anything salted caramel.

A little about me:
Growing up with a father who owned a construction company, I loved the building process. Learning how things are designed and built intrigued me at an early age. I soon discovered that interior design, as opposed to the mathematics side of building, was where I belonged. I studied Interior Design at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and have been with Lori Elms Design Group for 3 years now.
A little more about me:
My Favorite Musicians: Ben Howard & Matt Corby
My Passions: Sports, Traveling, Food (I love trying new foods – I’ll try anything once) and animals.
My Most Interesting Travel Experience: Living in Azerbaijan
